How the Record Sounds, and Who It's For

Ten years on stages put a guitar in my hands and taught me to hear arrangements the way a band does. That's why «5 to 9» leans on real instruments instead of leaning on samples. Vocals sit close and intimate, synths handle the weather in the background, and the rhythm section actually breathes.

I finished it the same way I wrote it, caught between two places. Some sessions happened in Stockholm, others in Geneva, with people on both ends. The mixes flew back and forth for weeks until the songs stopped sounding like two cities and started sounding like one room.

Who's it for? If your playlists already have room for sombr, Role Model, Dayglow, Declan McKenna and Paolo Nutini, then «5 to 9» is knocking, hoping for the next slot. Call it alt pop-rock. Honest first, clever second.
